​KOKL has a rich history in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Broadcasting first in 1922, this station has seen many changes, not only in formats, but also in call letters and locations.  Bob Brewer, father of current owner Brooks Brewer, bought the station in 1972 and in 1997, moved the station from the Enterprise building in Okmulgee to its current location in the Kress building which is steeped in Okmulgee history itself. Bob covered all kinds of local sports and news, and country music. For his amazing contributions to the radio industry, Bob Brewer was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2014, Bob retired and Brooks purchased the station from his father.  Brooks proudly continues the strong tradition of KOKL radio today.
